Brookgreen Gardens hosted the Figure Modeling Competition from May 24-28, 2010. Congratulations to the competitors:

Benjamin Hammond won top honors, taking the Charlotte Geffken Award, Alfred Paredes won the Roger T. Williams Award, Julia Levitina earned the Walter & Michael Lantz Prize; Davis Fandino received the Edward Fenno Hoffman Prize and Joshua Koffman won the Gloria Medal. The competitors spent their evenings exploring the gardens with Robin R. Salmon, Vice President for Collections and Curator of Sculpture for Brookgreen Gardens. They also toured the Offner Sculpture Learning and Research Center, a visible sculpture research and storage center at Brookgreen Gardens.

New York Academy of Art hosted the Figure Modeling Competition from June 15- 19, 2009. The following 15 sculptors competed over a 28 hour period:

Matthew White won top honors, taking the Walker Hancock Prize; Chad Fisher received the Walter Michael Lantz Prize; and Adam Matano won the Elisabeth Gordon Chandler Prize. Elizabeth Allison received an Honorable Mention.
